What a great weekend we’ve had beginning our new Get Into Golf Academy…
Sunday 1st October marked the start of a new ‘Get into Golf’ initiative at Chilli Dip Golf Academy, inspired by this year’s British Open.
Lancashire Golf, as part of England Golf, put a project together inviting local facilities and PGA Professionals to promote our wonderful game and get new people and beginner golfers more involved.
I saw this as a great opportunity to pull together the beginner to intermediate golfers that visit our facility and have already started to engage in the game. I wanted to help them move towards the next level whilst also getting the benefit of playing and enjoying the game.
We identified a get into golf format that involved coaching, playing and socialising. A fun and friendly golf day that increases the course playing experience and confidence of these golfers.
Despite the wet weather, the day was a great success. Thank you to everyone who took part. I’ve been delighted to read through your feedback comments and hear that everyone had such an enjoyable day, staff included. Scroll down the the page to see the feedback and photo gallery.
Our next ‘Get Into Golf’ Day will be held on Sunday 18th February.
*Limited places available, due to the coaching included on the day.
These days are designed to remove the barriers that often hold people back and bring together like-minded golfers who want to develop their game.

“I would like to thank both you and Clare for the excellent learning and practice experience you provided yesterday. It was really useful and the planned combination of tutor/pro input and practicing of the skills was just right. It was easy to implement and consolidate during the afternoon session – despite the weather’s best effort to kibosh this! I am looking forward to more days like this in the future.”
“Great activities this morning, which helped with this afternoon, when playing on the course. Thank you so much for organizing the day, it has been really enjoyable and have learnt so much from it.”
“Very informative. Really enjoyed it. Nice to meet new people.”

“Found the range work really informative and interesting. Struggled on the course but down to the weather. The itinerary is spot on. Fantastic value for money.”
